User Management

User management in Fluxlix covers creating accounts, assigning roles, and controlling what each person can access. Administrators manage users at the platform level, while organization owners and admins manage membership within their organizations.

User accounts

Each person who uses Fluxlix has an individual user account identified by their email address. Accounts are created in two ways:

  • Invitation — An organization owner or admin invites a user by email. The invited person receives a link to set a password and activate their account.
  • Self-registration — If enabled by the platform administrator, users can register their own accounts from the login page.

Self-registration can be enabled or disabled in the platform admin settings.

Platform-level roles

Platform administrators have access to the admin panel, where they can:

  • View and search all user accounts
  • Disable or re-enable accounts
  • Reset passwords
  • Promote a user to platform admin or revoke admin access
  • View which organizations a user belongs to

Organization roles

Within an organization, each member is assigned one of the following roles:

  • Owner — Full control including license and organization deletion
  • Admin — Manage members, projects, and organization settings
  • Member — Access to projects they are added to; day-to-day work only

Roles can be changed by an organization owner or admin from Organization Settings > Members.

Project-level access

Being a member of an organization does not automatically grant access to every project. Project access is granted separately from Project Settings > Members. This lets you keep sensitive projects restricted to the relevant team members.

Disabling accounts

If someone leaves the team, disable their account from the platform admin panel rather than deleting it. Disabling prevents login and revokes access immediately while preserving all work items, comments, and history associated with their account.
